Yes, road trip!

Take a break from work. Get an ‘all-about-you’ break from the kids and/or grandkids. Get in the car and drive.

Where to go?

Take no more than 5 minutes to choose a destination, otherwise you may not leave the house. Get in the car by yourself or with a friend—and, go! (Tell your phone to navigate you there, so there’s no stress with directions.)

When you arrive? Feel proud for doing something just for you. Take a pic, if for no other reason than to simply remind yourself that ‘me-time’ is, indeed, attainable.

And you just might uncover beautiful new discoveries. There are hidden gems everywhere… sometimes we just need the encouragement to get out and go find ‘em!

Practicing the Preach
My road trip? Last week, my husband and I found a location just 10 minutes from our home. We found a gorgeous, hidden quarry in southeast Idaho. We saw it’s where locals escape to fish, there are locations for family picnics, hiking and more! The entire excursion took less than an hour and cost $5 to get in. What a discovery!

Even though we had to dance around goose poop, we had togetherness outdoors. We had fresh air. We saw others enjoying one another. We watched men and women simply relaxing, deep in their thoughts, while holding a fishing pole over the water.

It was beautiful.

And all in under an hour. And for just $5.
