How does the Buddy Bench work?
Any child feeling lonely at recess sits on the buddy bench and a new friend comes to replace loneliness with a friendly smile and playtime. Beautiful!

Sammie’s buddy bench program has been spreading like a joyous, friendly smile. She’s been featured in newspapers, regional magazines, local TV stations, and she was just interviewed on NBC’s Today Show!
When Sammie and Sue met face-to-face, Sammie said her main reason for starting such a program? “I don’t want anyone to feel lonely!” Yes, reach for the tissues. This girl’s heart is PURE GOLD.
