Ah, love. ‘Tis in the air.
If we’re lucky, that is. Or, is it really luck? Me’thinks not, actually.
Love exists within us all. It is ours to give, if we choose. And, it’s ours to show, if we dare. And we should.
Enter: kindness. Yes, love and kindness are inextricably entwined. When we love in a healthy way, we show kindness. We’re aware. We notice. We take time.
And if love and kindness could unfailingly be our guides through life, how beautiful this world would be!
We’ve all heard, and perhaps experienced, the enrichment within when we give to others. Those who volunteer, or otherwise offer assistance, are known to feel more joy. It’s a documented fact. So, when we give resources, time, talents–or even a simple, genuine smile to a stranger–it all emits an energy of positivity. So, why not throw a little more sunshine into the world? Why not offer a helping hand without expecting anything in return? Why not offer advice, knowledge, experience, understanding, compassion or just a smile?
It’s all in the spirit of sharing kindness and love. Each day, let’s focus on being both reactive and proactive with kindness and love as our guides. Doing so forces understanding. Compassion. And just plain ‘ole goodness. It eradicates disdain and promotes compassion. It’s patient, and yes, kind.
And that, friends, is the stuff healthy love is made of. Let’s enact a revolution of kindness. And let’s all be LOVIN’ LIFE IN FEBRUARY.
