Difficult People
They’re just darn difficult. You know the type. He complains incessantly, then asks for direction or advice. You provide. He does the opposite of your suggestion—then comes back for more advice. It’s great to be a caring ear and voice of logic—but when the cycle is a repeated ritual of time invested, wisdom shared and then ignored, it’s tremendously deflating. Right?
Or, it’s a client. Her words and actions conflict. There’s continual retractions, cancellations, bickering over cost and insincere ‘confusion.’ It’s the push-around games by which some (foolishly) conduct their daily business.
It’s all exhausting.
So how do we rise above the noise? How do we TUNE OUT what drains our energy and TUNE IN to the spirit of positivity and productivity?
It takes effort. Focus. Confidence. And faith in your position, your product—and, mostly, faith in good ol’ numero uno: YOU.
It’s so easy to be weighed down. To feel deflated. When a day unfolds, and with it comes heavy conflict and negativity, how do we stay upbeat?
Stay the course. Regardless of what may be thrown your way, maintain focus on what matters most to you, to this day, to this moment. Negativity will always work to knock productivity off-course. That’s the way the universe works. But it’s up to YOU to divert the diversion. We must rise above, flying higher than vultures can reach. Then keep on rising to new heights. The abilities are within you. Let’s not allow negative naysayers to peck away at your wings, inhibiting your own beautiful flight.
Own your flight. Protect it. And rise above.
Life is short. Each day counts, and each day we build upon our own journeys. Each day matters. Let’s not give power to negativity by allowing it to control our moods, our actions, our days. Difficulties are always temporary; the proverbial squeaky wheels are typically perpetually squeaky; their silences are almost always temporary. Don’t drain your energies where resolutions aren’t realistic.
Instead, rise above. Then smile… positivity is all-powerful.
