This October, let’s focus on our STRENGTH. Not of mere physicality, but inner strength.
During this month of World Mental Health Awareness (recognized October 10), let’s look at how to become better today than we were yesterday. Let’s examine ways to improve our own mental state. When 60% of those afflicted with mental health concerns are not getting the help they need, isn’t now a GREAT time to immerse ourselves in knowledge? You bet it is.
Physical strength, too, can’t be ignored; in fact, it’s inextricably entwined with mental health. So let’s focus on better nutrition, more sound sleep, increased physical activity, more ‘me-time,’ and increased social interaction–even if just on InSuesShoes.com’s online platforms. We’re here. We’ve likely been in similar shoes to those on your feet. And you’re always welcome with us.
And for those who are believers, when it comes to FAITH, let’s keep an eye focused on the real Word. The one Truth. And allow His words to be our example. In times of duress, focus on what is truly Good… doing so actually rewires our brains in healthy ways. More on that later… 🙂 But no matter where your inner strength is derived, let’s stoke up our inner flames. Be faithful to the core; doing so ignites goodness. And we can all use more of that in this world… ammi right? You bet I am.
Yes, if we can focus on LOVE, STRENGTH + FAITH throughout this month, we can create an habitual thinking-and-action pattern to best step forward into fall in the very best version of ourselves.
And then? We notice the ground beneath our feet is firm. It’s solid. We can’t be easily shaken. Instead, we stand stronger. Determined. Clear-minded and fueled by love.
Does it get better? We think not.
So rake the baddest leaf pile. Jump in the fun with your kiddos (or grands!). Decorate your home in fall colors, pick your own fresh apples from a nearby orchard, notice the change in colors, inhale scents of crisp, fall air, enjoy a fall beverage, carve those pumpkins, and cozy up to a backyard bonfire.
This October ENJOY LIFE. Be intentional. Pray for hurts. Learn from scars. And even if we stumble, get back up… and get after it again. We’re cheering you on…
